Getting here

The drive from Milliken, one turn at a time

Most of Milliken funnels onto the same two roads heading south. Here is the whole trip, and what to look for when you arrive.

  1. Head south on Kennedy Rd or McCowan Rd

From Steeles Ave E, take whichever of the two you are closest to and stay on it south past Passmore and McNicoll. Traffic is usually lighter on Kennedy Rd outside rush hour.

  2. Turn west onto Finch Ave E

At Finch Ave E, turn right and head west past Birchmount Rd and Pharmacy Ave. You will pass the railway crossing before the Warden Ave intersection.

  3. Turn into the plaza just before Warden Ave

Our plaza at 3430 Finch Ave E is on the right, directly across from Bridlewood Mall. Free surface parking sits right outside the medical entrance, which is wheelchair accessible.

  4. Look for the sign beside the pharmacy

The clinic is inside the Pharmasave Pharmacy. Watch for the lit BSRV Medical & Dental sign next to the Pharmasave signage, then come to the front desk to register.

  5. Coming by TTC instead

The 53 Steeles East connects to the 39 Finch East and 939 Finch Express on Finch Ave E, which stop at Warden Ave, about a minute from our door. The 68 Warden runs along Warden Ave.

Coverage and language

Bring the card you have, and speak the language you think in

Milliken is one of the most mixed neighbourhoods in the city, and a good share of the people who walk in here arrived in Canada recently. The front desk deals with both coverage plans every day.

OHIP and IFHP both accepted

Bring the physical OHIP card or a valid Interim Federal Health Program certificate, along with a government photo ID. If your card has not arrived yet, call the clinic first and the desk will tell you which secondary documents to bring so the visit is not wasted.

Six languages at the front desk and in the room

Describing a symptom in a second language is how details get lost. The clinical team covers six, so most patients can explain the problem and understand the treatment plan without a family member translating on their behalf.

Before you drive down

Wait times are usually short, but they do move with the day and the hour. A quick call tells you how busy the clinic is right now, and the desk can hold a same-day slot so the trip from Milliken is not spent in the waiting room. New patients can register in the same visit.

What to bring to your first visit

  • Your physical OHIP card, or a valid IFHP certificate
  • Government photo identification
  • A list of the medications you take, including doses
  • Recent test results or specialist letters, if you have them
  • For children, the immunization record

Newcomers without either card can call the clinic first and the front desk will say which secondary documents to bring, so the trip is not wasted.
